Vision / Statement

Ustunkaya’s work explores the relationship between humans and the natural world, drawing on plants, animals, crystals, and psychology. She uses clay, resin, minerals, and natural pigments to reflect transformation, fragility, and healing.
Through performance, installations, and collective improvisation, her practice extends beyond the studio into live, shared environments. At its heart, her work is rooted in sustainability, women’s freedom, and care for nature—carrying a message of hope and connection.

My Practice

I work with materials as living collaborators—shaping clay free-hand, painting to rhythms of sound, or tracing fungi as forms of memory and renewal. My process is both intuitive and layered, holding complexity while leaving space for breath.

  • Working intuitively with clay, resin, plants, fungi, and natural pigments.
  • Exploring transformation, symbiosis, decay, and healing.
  • Live painting and performance in collaboration with musicians, dancers, and poets.
  • Leading workshops for communities, children, and artists.

Featured Projects

My work is rooted in process and ecology—sustainability, women’s freedom, and awareness of our connection to nature remain at its core.
